Centre seek opinion on Homoeopathy Central Council Act amendment

parlieamentGovt. of India entrusted Franklin L Khobung, Director of AYUSH department, to seek opinion from public, refer to the note for the Cabinet and the draft Bill of indicating the proposed draft amendment in the HCC Act 1973.

For amending the existing provisions of section 12 A and 12 B of the act to make provisions relating to granting permission by the Central Government to all existing Homoeopathy Medical Colleges for continuing the course/courses, so as to ensure that Homoeopathy education is given only through colleges which can impart quality education.

Explanatory note for the proposed amendment
The present act do not specify power to the Central Government to provide annual admission to Homoeopathy Medical Colleges. Due to the absence of statutory provisions in the act, existing colleges are continuing to take admissions without appropriate standards.

Therefore department has proposed to amend the existing sections 12A & 12B of the HCC act,1973 to make mandatory to seek Central Government permission before admission – to ensure the Homoeopathy education is given only through colleges which can impart quality education.

I draw the kind attantion regarding homoeopathic treatment of system who 2nd largest treatment system india where about 40 bilion population faith this system for medicinal treatment, it would be 1st if central govt make plan to emphecise the govt.homoeopathic medical colleges in states, for quality education and make facilities to employ in govt homoeo medical colleges like Allopathic system of treatment, no in all states in govt hospital PHC ,& opd only AYUSH doctors give the 90% satisfactory result to achive the goal.

  2. All govt.& private homoeopathic medical colleges must have minimum regular teaching & non teachiñg staff with good infrastructure,indoor facility,laboratry and library fãciity to get permission for admission.Standard of education must be eqivalent with MBBS .
