Dr G L N Sastry Passed away

Dr GLN Sastry, passed away today – on 2nd April 2013 at his residence, Hyderabad peacefully at 12.30 pm.

Dr GLN Sastry was born in Nandigama, on 15th August 1930, studied Homoeopathy at Dr Gururaju Homeopathic medical college Gudiwada[AP] from 1947 to 51. He was the IIHP founder member, honorary president.

He served as medical officer in AP state government at different places, as superintendent at Malak pet Govt Homeopathic Hospital, served as professor, principal in the Government Homoeopathic colleges in AP. He also served as member of central council of Homoeopathy during 1990-97.

He is the main architect of BCT programme  [Belladona, Calcarea and Tuberculinum] module dosage in terms of Japanese encephalitis.

Dr GLN had been the organisational man, rose to the level of secretary general[1986-95], national president[1995-98], advisor for many years, and lastly president of Honour till he breathed last. He also served as the managing editor of Rational Medicine , official organ of IIHP in the years 1982 to 86.

Homoeopathic fraternity in toto has lost a visionary who used to be the great prescriber, guide, philosopher for innumerable students. let us all join to mourn him.

May his soul rest in eternal peace.
