National Homoeopathy Campaign to Prevent Hygiene-Related Diseases

handsNew Delhi:  The Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy (AYUSH) Ministry has undertaken an initiative on the lines of Swachh Bharat campaign to prevent and treat diseases related to poor hygiene and sanitation, Union Minister Shripad Naik today said.

Mr Naik said the programme is being implemented by the eleven institutes of the Central Council of Research in Homoeopathy (CCRH).

“The AYUSH Ministry has tried to take forward the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan by initiating a Swasthya Raksha Programme so as to protect and promote health for preventing, identifying and treating the diseases related to poor hygiene and sanitation,” the AYUSH minister said.

He was speaking after inaugurating DP Rastogi Central Research Institute for Homoeopathy in Noida today which has been set up for overall promotion and development of homoeopathic system of medicine and carrying out advanced research on scientific lines in homoeopathy.

The institute in Noida has also adopted five villages and thousands of people have already benefited under the Swasthya Raksha Programme, the Union minister said.

“The alternative systems of medicine like homoeopathy have now come into focus and the government is making all efforts to provide high quality AYUSH facilities available to the people,” he said.
