Homoeopathy Drugs and Cosmetics (11th Amendment) Rules 2017 published

The Central Government, after consultation with the Drugs Technical Advisory Board, hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Drugs and Cosmetics Rules, 1945, called as Drugs and Cosmetics (11th Amendment) Rules 2017

Date of implementation : 10th November 2017

Major amendments

Provided that no licence shall be required for exhibiting the drugs for promotional activities in any fair.”

Provided further that no registered Homeopathic medical practitioner who is practising Homeopathy in the premises where Homeopathic medicines are sold shall deal in Homeopathic medicines.”;

Homeopathic medicines shall be sold  in manufacturer’s sealed packing only except dispensing of medicines in globules, water or milk sugar or as per prescription of a Homoeopathic Medical Practitioner.”;

Homoeopathy medicines may be sold in allopathy pharmacies but Medicines shall be stored separately from other allopathic drugs;

Dilution expiry date removed.

Rule 6.4 on combinations deleted.

20D competent person removed and 20C qualification made simple.

Schedule K modified.
