Homoeopathy PhD Programme 2014 at KUHS

kuhsApplications are invited online from eligible candidates for registration for Fulltime/ Part-time research leading to P.hD. degree of the University, for the year 2014-15,subject to availability of the vacancies.

Last date : 31st August 2014

Candidates shall carry out their research under approved guide or guides in an institution recognised by the University.

Eligibility: Candidates to be considered eligible to apply for registration for P.hD research should have:

a) Master’s Degree/Post Graduate Degree or a degree accepted as equivalent to it by the Kerala University of Health Sciences with not less than 60% marks or CGPA 6 out of a 10 point scale or equivalent grade, wherever marks/grades are granted in the qualifying examination in the concerned or allied/cognate subject.

b) Candidates of Indian origin or foreign students of other nationality who hold a Master’s/Postgraduate Degree from an accredited foreign University securing a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent grade are also eligible.

c) Additional requirement of experience for P.hD part-time.

(i) Permanent academic / scientific staff of colleges/Universities/other educational institutions of higher learning/Research & Development Laboratories and Organizations with at least three years of continuous approved teaching/research experience.

Availability of seats:
The maximum number of candidates permitted to work under each guide is eight.

Application for part-time registration should be accompanied a No Objection Certificate from the appointing authority.

Admission Test:
Candidates who are applying for admission to the P.hD programme shall have to appear for an admission test. The admission test will have two parts with descriptive type questions. First part will be general including topics of Research Methodology and Statistics (Paper I) applicable to all applicants. Second part will be subject specific (Paper

II). The syllabus for the admission test is appended to this notification.
The qualifying marks shall be 50% in each paper. The tests will be conducted in October and the result will remain valid for two years.

Application fee:
Application fee is Rs. 2,000/- to general category and Rs.1,000/- for SC/ST candidates which can be remitted by way of challan or DD in favour of Registrar, KUHS, payable at SBI KUHS branch.

Last date.
The last date for receipt of application is up to 5.00 PM, 31st August 2014.
