IIM-Indore will train deans, head of departments and professors of various colleges and universities in the country.
The Indian Institute of Management, Indore (IIM-I) has planned to train educationists from across the country through its management capacity enhancement programme. According to report, the initiative will be funded by World Bank. It comes under MHRD plan to enhance quality of higher education in the country. According to the ministry’s plan, IIM-I will train deans, head of departments and professors of various colleges and universities in the country.
The pilot session of the programme was organised at institution’s premises which was attended by 24 selected educationists from the institutes of higher learning in Maharashtra, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. Talking to media, spokesman of IIM-I said, “topics like strategic planning in higher educational institutes, people skill and interpersonal effectiveness, campus management system, financial planning and budgeting, innovation in teaching and research, IT, web-content, management etc are included in the pilot programme.
