Internship opportunity at CHSJ

Centre for Health and Social Justice – CHSJ requires interns to help us with MIS and documentation. The candidates should have good linguistic skills- both in English and Hindi and should be able to work with computers. We are looking to compile a few reports and complete several pieces of documentation. The period of this internship can be from 6-8 weeks to 3 months or more.

Rationale for Internships
CHSJ undertakes internship programme in collaboration with Universities and other academic institutions. The aim of this programme is to enable interns to learn more about public health issues in India with a focus on health equity. This may be done by a process through which interns undertake short but rigorous research studies of interest to CHSJ, which explore areas of violation of health rights and entitlements suffered by marginalized community, etc.

We encourage students to study equity, efficiency, effectiveness and quality of government health policies and programmes. This not only enables the student to address newer areas of health research but also strengthen CHSJ’s commitment to working on issues of health entitlements and rights violation of socially excluded groups.

The advantage of such collaboration is that these researches guided by academics and CHSJ are taken up for future advocacy, which is the organization’s strength. The findings of these studies will provide validity for debates and discourse with different stakeholders. The projects conceptualized by CHSJ will require high academic skills and rigours of research, which the academic institution can provide.
