Parliamentary panel expresses concern on quality for ASU&H drugs

The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Health has come down heavily on the Department of Ayush for going slow in revising and implementing the centrally sponsored scheme for improving the quality of Ayurveda, Siddha, Unani and Homoeopathic (ASU&H) drugs.

“The Committee is not happy with the snail’s pace of the progress made in the matter.

It is already the second year of the 12th Plan and if the Department is still in the process of revising the Centrally Sponsored Scheme for supporting State Drug Testing Laboratories and Pharmacies, it is a sad commentary on its decision making process,” the recent report of the panel said.[Source]

  1. schemes sre to be modified , no proper support to the aorganisations working in rural places. public is not aware evan the qualified ayush doctors are of such schemes in central leval. state officers are not trained more and maid esiar to impliment such proammes. pharmacists are unqualified , evan licence of homoeopathy pharmacies are not reneved since many years, no full charge drug inspectors with detail studies. we have tried many times to impliment the central schemes, but no govt. norms are not fair . can any officer analise this. we ayush have more potencial public relations than others. think 1000 times and work on this schems and it needs officers. we are not lacking behind – your administrative policies are making us to be behind.
