Helping Students

Traditionally, homeopathic students have been encouraged to postpone their introduction to computer software until they’ve spent some time mastering repertory basics. Today’s students, however, have grown up using computers, and are often anxious to begin working with what to them are simply “the basics”.

Whenever you choose to introduce computers to your curriculum, RadarOpus is well suited to the task of introducing repertories in general, their history and development, and the structure and limitations of various repertory formats.

Repertory Studies
Today’s version of the Synthesis Repertory, Synthesis X, is a carefully indexed database, which can be completely rearranged to offer alternate views of repertory information.

Would you like to work with Kent’s original repertory?

No problem! One click in RadarOpus rearranges the Synthesis X database to show only the original Kent information, in its original format. Another click returns the full, modern Synthesis with all remedy and rubric additions displayed. An entire timeline of “Repertory Views”, corresponding to important historical developments in both the literature and homeopathy itself, is included with RadarOpus. What better way for students to explore the evolution of the repertory?

Concepts is a unique tool, ideally suited for introducing the repertory. Concepts itself is an index to the repertory, offering a selection of available chapters, ranging from First Aid and Pediatrics through the Core Delusions of Dr. Luc. Each Concepts entry contains a group of thematically related rubrics. It’s even possible to create one’s own rubric groups – based on any theme – in the ‘Personal’ chapter of concepts. practical, results-oriented exercise for repertory exploration.
