The syllabus of Materia Medica shall be polychrest and the most commonly indicated drugs for everdya ailments applied Materia Medica and comparative Materia Medica.

(c) Different ways of studying the Materia Medica.

(a) Comparative study of drugs.

(b) Complimentary, inimical, antidotal and concomitant remedies.

(c) Therapeutic applications (applied Materia Medica.

(d) Schuslers 12 tissue remedies (Biochemic system of medicine).

COMMUNITY MEDICINE :

Basic principles of Community Medicine including epidemiology and control of diseases, National Health Programmes, Occupational Medicine, Family Welfare, School Health Servies, Health Planning and Management, Health Education, Community Health Care and International Health, Food and nutrition, Balanced diets, Nutritional deficiencies, personal hygiene, Environmental sanitation, General Principles of prevention and control of communicable diseases : Plague, Cholera, small pox, diphtheria, leprosy, tuberculosis, malaria, kala-azar, filariasis, common viral, diseases e.g. cold measles, chicken pox, poliomyelitis, infective hepatitis, helminthic infections, enteric fever, dysenteries, General prevention and control of non-communicable diseases e.g. obesity, hypertension, Maternal and Child health.

Pattern of Question Papers :

  • Objective Type Paper.
  • Maximum Marks : 100
  • Number of Questions : 100
  • Duration of Paper : Two Hours.
  • All Questions carry equal marks.
  • There will be Negative Marking.
