The course is divided into two Phases.
First Phase- 4 Months
Second Phase-8 Months

First Phase- Subjects
1.Anatomy -40- hours theory, 20 hours demonstration= 60 hours
2. Physiology and Biochemistry- 40- hours theory, 20 hours demonstration= 60 hours
3. Social and Preventive Medicine including Hygiene- 60 hours
4. Organon of medicine and Homoeopathic Philosophy- 60 hours
5. Pharmacy (theory only)- 60 hours

Second Phase
1.Nursing- Ward Duties
2.Pharmacy Practical/ Dispensing

Examination includes Written, Viva, and Practical/clinical
Minimum Marks for Pass- 50 % aggregate( 40% in theory( mini.)) and 50% in Practical)

Syllabus for Nurse Cum Pharmacist
1. Anatomy and Physiology– Combined elements

2. Hygiene and prevention of disease– personal hygiene
Hospital hygiene- Community hygiene, Communicable disease, Sepsis, Sterilization,

3. First aid
Its aim and general principles, improvisation of equipments and utilisation of available materials for first aid. How to tackle haemorrhages,shock,asphyxia,convulsions,wound,burn,scars, poisoning. Use of bandage,splints etc

4. Elements of homoeopathic philosophy
What is homoeopathy – its main principles- conception of disease- patient health & disease-value of symptoms- totality of symptoms- case taking and its importance in homoeopathy- how to take a case homoeopathically-mental health and mental case-what to observe in a patient-diet and regimen in chronic disease.

5. Homoeopathic pharmacy & some important drugs
Weight and measure- sources of drugs-Decimal-centicemal-preparation of dilutions and tricturations-dosge- conversion of tricturation in to dilutions-method of dispensing mother tinctures-dilutions-globules-external application-prepration and mode of application etc.

6. General nursing– General history of nursing Its importance
tremperatutre,pulse,blood pressure- observation of urine,sputum,stool,their disinfection and disposal- administration of drugs,oral,rectal etc.

Preparation of examination of ear,nose,throat,eyes urinary,urogenital tract
