First batch of interns trained in Ayush at President’s Estate completed course

Rashtrapati-Bhavan-New-Delhi-Photographer-Naina-07New Delhi: Participants of first batch of interns trained in the Indian Systems of medicine at the AYUSH Wellness Clinic in the President’s Estate completed their course today (January 6, 2016). Certificates were presented to them by Secretary to the President Smt. Omita Paul at function held in Rashtrapati Bhavan.

In her address, Secretary to the President congratulated the participants on the successful completion of the training. She emphasized that hard work committed with an intention to serve the ailing will definitely have an impact in the society.

The three months internship training was conducted under a novel skill development programme, wherein a curriculum was formulated to train the participants in the streams of Ayurveda, Homoeopathy,Yoga, Unani, Siddha & Naturopathy. The participants were given 120 hours practical training and 60 hours theoretical.

The AYUSH Wellness Clinic was inaugurated on July 25, 2015 by Hon’ble President Shri Pranab Mukherjee to promote the Indian traditional systems of medicine and Homoeopathy. It is a unique project where all the Indian systems of medicine & homeopathy have come together under one roof.
