Statistics is a science of figures is a study of techniques or methods of Collection of data, classification, summarising, interpretation, drawing inferences, testing of hypothesis, making recommendation etc., when only a part of data is used.
Biostatistics is the term used when tools of statistics are applied to the data that is derived from biological Sciences such as medicine.
