INTRODUCTION:
The use of plant-based remedies is central to homeopathy, and Spartium scoparium stands out as a valuable cardiac tonic in this context. Commonly found in Europe and parts of Asia, this shrub has long been used in traditional medicine for its diuretic and heart-stimulating properties. In homeopathy, it is valued for its subtle action on heart rhythm and strength, making it a gentle remedy for patients with certain types of cardiac dysfunction.
The plant contains several active constituents including Sparteine sulphate (the alkaloid of Broom). It increases the strength of the heart, slows it and reduces systolic and diastolic blood pressure.
