Waxing is a quick way to remove hairs from most areas of the body and it is common for bumps to develop on the skin after waxing; observe small, red bumps on the skin immediately after waxing, other my notice about a week later.

Causes:

Contact dermatitis due to an allergic reaction or irritation; soap and detergents are common culpits, but the warse and chemicals its contains may also contribute to contact dermatitis. The bumps are very itchy. Other symptoms are burning, astinging sentation. Swelling, peeling skin. Folliculitis; causes itchy bumps have a red ring arround them, may look similar to acne. Due to damage following hair removal, bacteria like staph.infect the follicales, which are warm to touch, pus form; tought clothing that rubs against the hair follicles can cause further irritation and may worse the condition.

Treatment:

Keep the area clean, dry and moisturized, as this can help reduce irritation of the skin. Cleansing the skin. Using cold compresses. Wearing loose clothing. Using warm compresses. (medicalnewstoday.com).
