NCH circular on Prevention of malpractices and unethical practices

National Commission for Homoeopathy warned Homoeopathic practitioners on unethical advertisement and false assurances – that endanger public health, patient safety and disrepute homoeopathic system of medicine

Prohibited Acts

  • False, misleading, exaggerated or guaranteed cure claims including advertisements through print, electronic or social media.
  • Running clinics hospitals or diagnostic centres without valid registration
  • Long term treatment by selling pre-paid packages
  • Using fake credentials & mis-presentations like posing clinics as research institutes
  • Using testimonials instead of data. Publishing case reports wit patient identity and without consent
  • Practicing cross-pathy
  • Claim to be specialist without NCH recognised valid qualification in the concerned area
  • Conducting un-approved courses which is not recognized by NCH
  • Treating patients through social media without following tele-medicine guidelines
  • Generalized or specific treatment guidelines through posts, reels, comments DMs or live sessions

Any violations may leads to

  • Suspension or cancellation of registration
  • Imposing of penalties as per rules
  • Legal action under statutory provisions

Ignorance of rules shall not be accepted as defense under any circumstances
