refresh – 2020 One day workshop at Government Homoeopathic Medical College Calicut

IPH Foundation, formerly known as Institute of Practicing Homoeopathy (IPH), an Institutional Member of LMHI – Germany, in association with Government Homoeopathic Medical College (GHMC), Kozhikode – Kerala, oraganised a One Day seminar (refresh 2020) at Government  Homoeopathic Medical College’s Conference Hall on Sunday, 10th February, 2020.

Inaugural session was conducted by inviting the guests to dais by Prof. Dr. MANSOOR ALI  KR, Co-ordinator , refresh 2020 – GHMC,.  The One Day Seminar cum Workshop was inaugurated by Prof. Dr Abdul Hameed. Principal, GHMC, Kozhikode.  Prof. Dr. Geetha Jose, Superintendent, Govt. Homeopathic Hospital, Kozhikode Mr. Hari Krishnan, Chairman, College Students Union, Dr. Aiswarya MA, PG Representative, Dr. Shonima V, President, Intern Doctors’ Association, Mr. Mohd Shahabaz S, Gen. Secretary, College Students Union,   were among the guests on the Dais.  Dr. B. S. Mohan, Chairman & Managing Trustee, IPH Foundation, was  the Chief Guest of the event.

In their inaugural words. Prof. Dr Abdul Hameed,   expressed that the Refresh 2020 is an unique programme among all other one day seminars which narrates the management of the clinical practice in Homoeopathy.  This gives the subject other than we dealt in the colleges. He asked the participants to follow the guidance and suggestions made by the speakers who came with a lot of clinical experience.  

Dr. B. S. Mohan, Chairman, IPH Foundation, presented his talk on Health, Health Care Industry & Homoeopathy and Practice Management In Homoeopathy.  Dr. K. L. Prasanna, member IPH Foundation, presented her detailed audio visual work on Clinical Establishment in Homoeopathy and Dr. D. V. Krishna Rao, Secretary, IPH Foundation, stressed the importance of evidence based medicine with his Introduction to Clinical Evidence In Homoeopathy through his presentation. He also presented few treated evidenced based cases.

A talent appreciation programme, ANS & WIN for all the UG, Internee and PGs  was also organised by Dr. I. Srinivas, Treasurer, IPH Foundation. Winners of the ANS&WIN were appreciated and awarded with Merit Certificates and Mementoes. A jury committee headed by Dr. C.P. Satya Prasad with members Dr. Dr. B. V. Bhaskar, B. Usha, and Dr. T. Sree Ram selected the winners for ANS&WIN programme.  

IPH also organised a College survey programme on various student related issues. Mr. Mohd Shahabaz S, Gen. Secretary, College Students Union presented the vote of thanks. Total 230 participants including, UG, PG students, Internee and  Faculty members participated the programme.

The entire programme was supervised by Dr. Mansoor Ali, Co-ordinator, refresh 2020 – GHMC. He appreciated the IPH Foundation for coming forward to motivate, update and promote high standards in Homoeopathic Clinical Practice.

Secretary, College Students Union appreciated and felicitated the works of IPH Foundation and its members for their services in propagating and development of the professional skills among the upcoming Homoeopathic doctors.

The valedictory function was held at the end of the workshop. Dr. D. V. KRISHNA RAO, secretary, IPH Foundation expressed his thanks for giving the opportunity and permission to organise the workshop in the college premises. Mr. Hari Krishnan, Chairman, College Students Union urged the requested the principal to organise this kind of programmes at frequent interval for the benefit of the students. The visiting IPH Foundation members were honoured and felicitated with a Memento by the Principal, GHMC.

The PG students Dr. Afeefa Bisni and Dr. Nithu Sabu who presented their research papers at ICIO 2020 at Cochin were specially felicitated by the IPH Foundation. All the members of IPH foundation and Faculty members of the GHMC, Kozhikode were among the attended.

Dr Smitha Madavan and Dr Thaslim felicitated in valedictory function. Vice Chairperson of College Students Union Lakshmi Priya given  welcome speech, Joint Secretary Neethu expressed vote of thanks.
