Full scholarship for 100 UAE students wishing to study Ayush in India

Khaleej Times) The Indian government will award 100 Emirati, and UAE-based non-Indian students full-scholarships if they wish to study Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy (Ayush) in public deemed universities across India. In a bid to spread ancient traditional Indian systems of medicine in the region, this is one of the first initiatives being undertaken by the Indian Ayush ministry.

The ministry is also in talks with the UAE Ministry of Health (MoH) to set up an Ayush chair in Dubai.

Speaking to Khaleej Times on the sidelines of the Ayush conference and exhibition, Shripad Yesso Naik, Minister of Ayush, India, said: “The application details and processes to different Indian universities offering courses in Siddha and Ayurveda will be provided by the Consulate General of India in Dubai, and interested students can approach them for admissions and details.”
