  1. Traditional, complimentary and Alternative Medicine has proved a boon for lot of ailments for which billions of funds have been spent on modern medicine and has been acknowledged by WHO. If few millions are spent by WHO on AYUSH system lot of incurable diseases will start getting some evidence based results.
It’s a welcome decision to appoint an AYUSH representative to guide WHO for further research in TCAM practices especially from India as India only has scientific temper and well qualified TCAM graduates and post graduates who are dedicated to there practice.

  2. Ayush is pseudoscience. It’s waste of money, time and effort to say the least, they aren’t evidence based , research based, replication based sciences. They are faith based abracadabra quackery. India is wasting crores of taxpayer’s money now even the WHO is following suite. The present pandemic has laid bare the uselessness of such pseudosciences.
This move by the WHO is quixotic adventure and dangerous too, putting lives in the harm’s way. An excercise in futility.

    • First of all Ayurveda is not a pseudoscience and people saying so are actually pseudo. Anyone saying so on big platforms must mind his words and think thousand times before saying rubbish. If you don’t know Ayurveda then you are no one to say anything against it.
