Recently, Indian Medical Association (IMA) in Kerala warned the radiologists not to visit Homeopathic Hospitals to do USG scanning.
The suspected motivation behind this move is the recent report on the success stories of infertility cases by the Infertility clinics at Govt Homeopathic Hospitals in Malabar area.
It clearly shows that they do not want Homeopaths to make their cured cases documented with the help of investigations. They want our cures unnoticed by the public and the media. What a shame!!!
In Govt Homeopathic Hospitals scanning is done for 150 Rupees, whereas, private scanning centers charge 600 to 700 Rupees, so not affordable for the poor.
IMA is a prestigious organization of our modern medical friends, but it is very unfortunate that a few leaders are behaving childishly as a result of jealousy towards other systems, especially Homeopathy.
What they claim is they do not want practitioners of other systems make use of their techniques. They are even against Ayurvedic and Homeopathic students attending surgery posting at Govt Hospitals. In fact, Sushrutha, the great Ayurvedic guru, is considered as the father of surgery. He had developed many surgical instruments which are used by modern surgeons even today (modified form of his instruments). Now they are asking his followers not to study surgery!!!
They have also stolen the holistic concept Homeopathy, Ayurveda, Unani, Naturopathy, including Yoga, and asking others not to make use of modern investigations. In fact, 90% of things used in Modern medicine are the contribution of Chemists, Pharmacologists, Biomedical engineers, Microbiologists, Biochemists, Molecular biologists, Genetic engineers, Nuclear scientists, Clinical researchers, Biotechnologists, etc. They ONLY prescribe the medicine taught by the medical representatives. Whereas, we select the medicine on the basis of individualistic case taking, analysis, repertorisation, reportorial analysis, etc.
I feel, in spite of having specialization and super specialization, they are not gaining the basic purpose of education such as human qualities. The great Rabindranath Tagore once said: “The highest education is that which does not merely give us information but makes our life in harmony with all existence.”
