Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS) relaxed the norms for the PhD programme in Homoeopathy.
Academic council meeting held on 29th April 2014 at KUHS expressed the concern on no eligible applicant from the f Homoeopathy side because of the non-availability of eligible Guides or Supervisor.
In Homoeopathy, there is no faculty in any of the Kerala Medical Colleges qualified to be the Guide..
The Academic Council gives power to Research Council to allow relaxation in any criteria other than academic qualification.
Now Homoeopaths can opt Co-Guides from other disciplines of Medical field and opt one Guide from the Homoeopathy Medical Colleges from the full time faculty.
