Homoeopathic therapy for leiomyoma (uterine fibroid) with poly cystic ovarian disease in females :a case report

ABSTRACT

BACKGROUND:- Fibroids are the most common benign tumors in females and typically found during the middle and later reproductive years. While most fibroids are asymptomatic, they can grow and cause heavy and painful menstruation, painful sexual intercourse, and urinary frequency and urgency. Some fibroids may interfere with pregnancy although this appears to be very rare

OBJECTIVE:- To cure a very common surgical disease like leomyoma and pcod in female with homoeopathic medicine Following homoeopathic principles at sushila homoeopathic health care and research centre kanpur

MATERIAL AND METHOD:- The homoeopathic medicines are selected on the basis of principles of homoeopathy as mentioned by Dr CFS HAHNEMANN in organon of medicine and chronic diseases .The patients are assessed on the basis of changes in pathology of uterus and ovary shown by ultrasonography during  the period from 2009 to 2014 at sushila homoeopathic health care and research centre kanpur as before or after taking the homoeopathic medicine.

RESULTS:- Statistical Data of patients Treated  from 2009-2014:

No. Of Patients entered – 44
No. Of patients who followed the protocol – 33

No. Of patients which improved – 28
No. Of patients with complete removal of fibroid -16
No. Of patients whose size reduced but no complete removal – 12

No .Of patients with no relief — 5

SUCCES RATE OF CURE-48.48%

SUCCES RATE OF POSITIVE RESPONSE OF HOMOEOPATHIC THERAPY-84.85%

FAILURE RATE- 15.15%

CONCLUSION:- From this trial we can understand that in surgical cases homoeopathic medicines gives marvelous results . So it is efficacious therapy and respond  with rate of more than 80% in surgical cases well.
