Panaji: Goa will shortly have an ayush directorate, a wing independent of the directorate of health services, and there will be an Ayush hospital in each district.
The Centre has approved the setting up of an Ayush directorate in the state, said Union minister of state for ayush, Shripad Naik.
He announced this after inaugurating an ayush fair —a three-day health expo, at Kala Academy, Panaji—on Friday evening.
“Financial provision has been made for setting up the directorate. The process of setting up the directorate has already started with posts being advertised. Besides, each district—North Goa and South Goa—will have an ayush hospital,” he said while replying to a question on what projects are lined up for Goa.
