The Indian Medical Association will not tolerate Ayurvedic and AYUSH doctors practicing allopathy, said state president of Indian Medical Association (IMA) Dr H L Krishne Gowda.
After being felicitated during his official visit to Bhadravati chapter of IMA here on Sunday, DrKrishne Gowda told reporters that Ayurveda practitioners were demanding legalisation of prescribing allopathic medicines which was against the medical ethics.
Each segment of medicine has its own ethics and allopathic doctors never ventured to prescribe Ayurvedic medicines to their patients although they respected Ayurveda, Yoga, Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy departments which are in vogue since ancient times in India, he said.
The Council for Scientific and Industrial Research and AYUSH must intervene and put an end to the unscientific demand, he said.

I totally endorse the stand taken by the IMA
I think if the government increase homoeopathic doctor’s salary against MBBS . All problem are easily solved.
We genuine homoeopaths support IMA in this matter. Integrated medicine is experts of various systems working together, not same person practicing all system. I hope the court decision will be final, which can definitely maintain the medical ethics. It will also support AYUSH systems. It is unfortunate that a few among AYUSH Drs are fighting for this illegal right. They have some silly reasons for the sin.
How less our leaders are aware of our issues,
I do endorse the views.
