CCH wants to cancel registration of homoeopaths who practise allopathy

cch-2Vadodara: The Central Council of Homoeopathy (CCH) has asked all its state councils in the country to cancel registration of homoeopaths who practise allopathy.

“The CCH had issued a notice stating that Homoeopathic Practitioners (Professional Conduct, Etiquette and Code of Ethics) Regulations, 1982, have been amended as notified in the official gazette dated July 12, 2014, which is required to be strictly adhered to by all registered practitioners under HCC Act of 1973,” CCH President Dr Ramjee Singh told PTI  today on the sidelines of a national seminar on homoeopathy held in the city.

The CCH has also issued a notice to its registered practitioners asking them to practice homoeopathy and use drugs prepared as per homoeopathic principles, he said.

Singh also said that CCH teams will conduct surprise visits at all 188 homoeopathy medical colleges in the country before giving them accreditation for next academic year beginning from June 2015.

This is a part of an annual exercise of inspection before giving accreditation letters to the colleges.

“The accreditation of homoeopathic colleges has been made compulsory from last one year,” Singh said.

“In fact, the Union Health Ministry wanted to implement the Minimum Standard Education Requirement (MSER), jointly prepared by CCH and the Ministry, in all the colleges from academic year 2014-15, but could not do so due to some practical difficulties,” he said.

Earlier, 121 homoeopathic colleges, including 36 run by state governments, were not found fit for accreditation as they failed to meet the requirements for it. These colleges were granted amnesty by the Union Health Ministry and allowed to admit new students from academic year 2014-15, he said.

Now, its implementation will begin from the new academic year beginning June 2015, he said.

“If the colleges fail to rectify the deficiencies, they will face serious consequences, including derecognition,” Singh cautioned.

He also stressed the need to regulate the functioning of homoeopathic colleges in the country and standardising its education with a syllabus prescribed by the CCH

  1. Dr Ramjee singh Congratulation you have done justice to your post and responsibility as president of CCH, we have been expecting this strong step from you —- please see that this is implemented firmly and sincerely

  2. I welcome the move by CCH but seriously deny the attitude of them against their failure to stictly implement the principles of genuine Homeopathy in all fields including the manufacture of various combinations of drugs which is quite against the principles. Why the govt is granting licence? Are there any such things in our system which are unknown to us as pure Homeopaths like me?
I also welcome all to discuss whether we have to limit ourselves to the list of diseases mentioned in our books or encourage to expand the system in all aspects without deviating basic principle on which Homeopathy was built!
I also advise CCH to take all steps to train our graduates in a practical way rather than only memorising contents of books and follow the pharmacies for their practice and livelyhood.

      • Homoeopathic physician prescribing allopathic medicine is against the principals of Homoeopathy and disgrace to Hahnemann. It should be immediately stopped.

    • I totally agree to Dr Prasad, he has a practical attitude. After all who is responsible for this condition ? Are your combination patents according to homoeopathic principles ? Do all college’s give classical homeopathic education, so as to get enough confidence to practice pure homoeopathy ? If No, then What Right Does The CCH have to take this strong step ? All These Years The CCH had been Sleeping & overlooking the Drawbacks In The College’s And The System For Their Personal Interests & Benefits. Where Was This Homeopathic Patriotism At That Time ? CCH alone is responsible for the present condition & it has Absolutely NO RIGHT To Take Such A Strong Step Without Rectifying The System.

  3. In Practice if You r not allowed to cut the skin then why dissection, why MTP act,Why Practice of Medicine which include clinical features, diagnosis,Prognosis,Differential diagnosis, investigations and even allopathic managment many more which is not related to Homoeopathy. Kaheko itani magaz mari. Patient ko samne bithao history lo Homoeopathic medicine do.Lekin ab to aap ko court me bhi prove karna padenga ki ye black magic ya spirituality nahi hai due to passing of Black Magic Act in Maharashtra. What can u Prove there in court room.Science hai to batao kaise homoeopathic med act karti, otherwise go to Jail .Bahot kharab halat hone wali hai Sir.

    • Sir aap sbse phle herings law of cure padhe ..us k according to jb tk anat phy..n all subject ka kwlge nhi rahega to medicine dene k baad f/u critaria kaise smjhenge..ar one more thing ki supression ko kaise smjhenge ..mtlb ye ki aap pt ko medi. To de rhe ar wo bhi allopath k jaise theraputic base k according to fir jo log bs book padh k medi dete hai wo thik hi hai..

      • Dr.Sunita aap ne shayad meri puri comment nahi padhi,I am totally denying the theory it is based. For me it seems like fairy tells, which only sounds better but doesn’t have any scientific proof .like baba, tabij, zadfuk they also work and there theory also sound good.U first go to my blog spend some time , watch the fact.then we will discuss

  4. What the hell is going on,if they think so why syllabus of Homoeopathy is equavallent to MBBS.First stop teaching Anatomy,Physiology,Gyne,Surg,Medicine etc .In Homoeopathic practice what are the role of such study.

    • you have not understood homoeopathy properly ..that’s why your opinion against Anatomy,Physiology,Gyne,Surg,Medicine………………..

    • These subjects will make you doctor not allopathic doctor. If you have done MBBS, then you can practice allopathy and if you want to do allopathy, you would not have come for homeopathy.

  5. This is a good decision by the authorities. Those who are not qualified in Allopathic medicines should not be allowed to practice same.Government is spending a lot of money in training the Homeo and Ayurvedic practioners through Ayush in universitiesa and colleges but it is sad affair that they are practicing Allopasthy instead of Homeo or Ayurvedic treatments.
