Dr Radha appointed as Adviser of Homoeopathy to Govt. of India

Photo 2Dr Nemath Radha from Kerala, who has been working as Chief Medical Officer in the Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) has joined as Adviser (Homoeopathy) in the Department of AYUSH, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India on 31.01.2014.  The appointment is  based on the recommendation of the name by the Union Public Commission and approval by the Appointments Committee of Cabinet.

Adviser (Homoeopathy) is the highest post for the technical Officers in Homoeopathy in Government of India. The post has been lying vacant for more than 5 yrs. The present Secretary (AYUSH), Shri. Nilanjan Sanyal took special interest to fill up this post so as to get due attention for development and promotion of Homoeopathy.

Dr Radha was a student of Athurasramam Homoeopathic Medical College, Kottayam and had done her Dip NIH course from National Institute of Homoeopathy, Kolkata.  She had done her M D ( Hom) in Materia Medica from MPK Rajasthan Homoeopathic Medical college, Jaipur and Post Graduate Diploma in Public Health from National Institute of Health & Family Welfare, New Delhi.

She belongs to a family of Homoeopaths at Kozikode, Kerala where her late father Dr N. Krishnan Moosad established a Homoeopathic hospital with indoor treatment facilities for the first time in early 80s. All her sisters and only Brother are practicing Homoeopathy successfully at various places. Her husband Dr Eswara das is also a Homoeopath who adorned the post of Director, National Institute of Homoeopathy, Kolkata from 2008 -10.

Dr Radha joined in service as Assistant Research Officer in Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy and then opted Central Government Health Scheme. She worked in various capacities in CGHS and the latest posting was at CGHS specialist wing at Safdarjung Hospital during which she has proved her clinical skill and merit of Homoeopathy in various intricate clinical conditions. She has been the Guide to postgraduate programme and visiting faculty in various Universities

Her interest in clinical research, academics and  patient care services and firm commitment to the principles of Homoeopathy would facilitate her to strengthen the Department of AYUSH and Homoeopathy in India with this new assignment.
