UGC 6th Pay revision Rectified order

PG teachers and Principals of  Homoeopathic Medical Colleges will get additional benefits, higher pay band and promotions

University Grant Commission rectified order regarding Sixth UGC pay revision numbered 1-36/2009-U11, dated 26.8.2010, while formulating the fixation of pay of lectures who got promoted between 1.1.2006 and 30.6,2010 has occurred.

As per the above order, the pay of a directly recruited/ promoted reader/ lecturer(pre revised scale of 12000-420-18300) between 1.1.2006 and 30.6.2010 should be fixed at 23890 with an AGP of 8000 and should be given higher pay band after 3 years.

Allow Rs.43,000 as entry level pay in the pay band Rs.37400-67000 plus an academic grade pay of Rs.10,000 to directly recruited Principals of Under graduate & Post graduate Colleges appointed on or after 1.1.2006.

Principals of undergraduate Colleges will continue to draw Rs.2000 per month and PG College Principals will draw Rs.3000 per month as Special allowance.

    Still I have a doubt about “As per the above order, the pay of a directly recruited/ promoted reader/ lecturer(pre revised scale of 12000-420-18300) between 1.1.2006 and 30.6.2010 should be fixed at 23890 with an AGP of 8000 and should be given higher pay band after 3 years.”
    Does this mean Assistant Prof. with AGP of 8000 should be given higher pay band after 3 years without seeing the API?
