Abstract :
Alopecia areata is an autoimmune disorder characterized by transient, non-scarring hair loss and preservation of the hair follicle. [1] Hair loss can take many forms ranging from loss in well-defined patches to diffuse or total hair loss, which can affect all hair bearing sites. Patchy alopecia affecting the scalp is the most common type. Alopecia areata affects nearly 2% of the general population at some point during their lifetime.  [2] This case report is of a 32 years old male patient presented with patchy baldness in the scalp region. The entry point to the mental aspect of the patient was when his Dreams were enquired. Taking into the consideration of the characteristic dreams, the entire personality was revealed for which the Similimum was administered. Dreams, as rightly said, are the connection between our subconscious and conscious mind. The patient showed marked improvement in 3 months thus showing the beneficial effects of Dr Kents approach and the importance of dreams.

Introduction :
Alopecia areata is an autoimmune disorder characterized by transient, non-scarring hair loss and preservation of the hair follicle. [1] Hair loss can take many forms ranging from loss in well-defined patches to diffuse or total hair loss, which can affect all hair bearing sites. Patchy alopecia affecting the scalp is the most common type. Alopecia areata affects nearly 2% of the general population at some point during their lifetime.  [2] T-cell autoimmune- mediated attack on the hair follicle. This leads to patches of non-scarring alopecia on the patient’s scalp, face, and other hair-bearing skin of the body. It accounts for 2-3% of the new dermatology cases in UK and USA, 3.8% in China, and 0.7% in India. [3]

Case:
Chief complaint: This was a case report of a 32 -year-old male patient working as a tailor who presented with the chief complaints of asymptomatic loss of hair at single site over the temporal region of the scalp for 3 years.  He had undergone every type of Modern medicine treatment and many home remedies as well.

History of chief complaint : A 32 years male presented with loss of hair in annular pattern over the scalp, on the temporal region since 3 years. He had taken Rx from Modern medicine and other home remedies but no effect was seen. No personal history of fungal affection was found.

Mind : The patient lives with his wife and parents. The patient presented with various dreams. The patient often had clairvoyant dreams such as of cricket matches won, accidents, of people going to meet him, clients that are going to meet him etc. This was extremely peculiar and sometimes he felt that this caused him way load of anxiety. The patient also complaint of dreams like he is some celebrity and was under the limelight. Dreams as if he was walking down on the red carpet at an award function. When enquired, his wife said that he always wants to be the limelight of any event and wants to be seen. This explains the Pompous nature of the patient. He also happens to be affectionate around kids and pets. He often goes on drives which help animals and was a prominent leader of such ngo. He loves to pets dogs and cats.

Discussion-
The consideration of ‘ailments from’ in the case above paved a path to the selection the remedy. The patients mental aspects of complaining nature and sensitivity was considered and thus Phosphorous was chosen. After the use of Phosphorous the patient improved within less than 3 months and patient regained normal hair. It also emphasizes that a well selected remedy yields results even if no external application is used. Often a discussion is made about the placebo effect of Homeopathy ,but such results in paediatric age group and with an advanced pathology, shows how effective Homoeopathy is.
