A case of inflamed sebaceous cyst managed with homoeopathy

[Abstract: This article includes the clinical understanding of the teaching of our Organon of Medicine & Homoeopathic Philosophy that; whatever it maybe the name of the disease or the pathology, if the patient shows characteristic signs & symptoms of a particular medicine, that act as the specific remedy in that case. What is to be the similia, to restore the sick to health, & how it occurs (i.e. reverse pathology), to cure the case homeopathically… as per the rules of our “Second Prescription”, and what is curable in disease and what is curative in medicines are also expressed in this article.]

Sebaceous Cyst are common noncancerous cyst of the skin, are abnormalities in the body that may contain liquid or semiliquid material. Mostly found on the Scalp, face, neck, back; grow slowly are not life threatening, but may become uncomfortable if go unchecked.

Sebaceous cyst form out of sebaceous gland, which produces the oil called sebum, that coats out hair and skin. Cyst can develop if the gland or its duct, i.e.  the passage of the oil if becomes damaged or blocked, usually due to a trauma to the area may be a scratch, a surgical wound or a skin condition, as acne; grow slowly, so the trauma may occurred weeks or months before you notice the cyst.

Other causes may miss-happen or deformed duct, damage to the cells during Surgery, genetic conditions as Gardner’s Syndrome, Basal cell nervous syndrome etc.

Symptoms:
Small cyst typically not painful, large can worse range from uncomfortable to considerably painful, may feel pain by pressure. Filled with white flakes of keratin; a key element that makes up your skin and nails. Most cysts are soft to touch.

Possibly cancerous, if characterised by: Diameter larger than five centimetres, fast rate of reoccurrence after being removed, signs of infection such as redness, pain or pus drainage.

Treatment: Treatment of sebaceous cyst by draining it or by surgically remove it not because they dangerous, but rather for cosmetic reasons, by following methods; Conventional wide excision, Minimal excision, Laser with punch biopsy excision as per necessary to decide by the Surgeon. 19.01.2020 (Sunday)Female,  S. DEVI, AGED 38 YEARS, came to my clinic with a history of  mechanically insist injury for drainage by a needle on an inflamed sebaceous cyst at right lumber region of her abdomen before one day, having bluish-blackish oedematous large swelling with fluid & pus inside the inflamed cyst;  with sore, bruise pain on the affected part and the pain of the affected area relief by warm or hot application only; affected part is hypersensitive to touch; she was chilly, showing chilliness in her abnormal thermal reaction, than other.

Rx. Arnica montana  200 / two doses with Sac. Lac.1; to be taken in empty stomach2, within 12 hours intervals.

2nd visit, 20.01.2020 (Monday), after 01 dayInflamed close sebaceous cyst became open with oozing of bloody pus and also relief of sore, bruise pain of her affected part, discolouration of the affected part became fade.

Rx. Placebo  200 / two doses with Sac. Lac.1; to be taken in empty stomach2, within 12 hours intervals.

3rd visit, 22.01.2020 (Thursday), after 04 daysNo pain on her affected part, oedematous swelling of her affected part became reduce, slight bloody pus till oozing, a dry black crust on the affected part seen.

Rx. Placebo  200 / two doses with Sac. Lac.1; to be taken in empty stomach2, within 12 hours intervals

4th visit, 10.02.2020 (Sunday), after 22 daysTwo inflamed sebaceous cysts are seen (another small along the old) in her affected area with slight pains and oozing of bloody pus reappear.

Rx. Arnica montana  200 / two doses with Sac. Lac.1; to be taken in empty stomach2, within 12 hours intervals. (As per the rules of our “Second Prescription”, Repetition of the First Prescription, when the case becomes stand still for long time or old symptoms reappears).

5th visit, 23.02.2020 (Sunday), after 35 days :No pain, no swelling, no oozing of her affected parts; dry black scar tissue on the affected parts are seen.

Rx. Placebo 200 / two doses with Sac. Lac.1; to be taken in empty stomach2, within 12 hours intervals.

Remarks:

1)  No needs for further taking medicine until any new symptoms develop in this case.

2) Remember, that, every phenomena of a phenomenon is adjust in Individual’s body & mind (as cause & effects) according to heredity & acquire qualities of an individual upon the life force as an one episode and throughout the biography of the  life there are so many episodes (layers) may developed and that one episode (layer) needs series of dose, potency, repetition of a single remedy or may  needs  series of remedies  to eradicate it (As per the rules of our “Second Prescription”, Repetition of the First Prescription and Change in the Second Prescription); that’s why, long times follow up must be needed, for  simplify the case, to restore the sick to health, for the ideal of  cure.

  1. All types of sebaceous cyst can never be cured with Arnica.
    I’ll tell some medicines which can cure all types of sebacious cyst.
