Amoebiasis or Amoebic dysentery is a protozoal infectious disorder affects about 10% of world population, causing invasive disease in about 50 million people and death in about 100,000 of these annually. The infection is common especially in lower socio-economic groups and institutionalized individuals living in crowded, poor hygienic conditions. Common clinical features include Fever, Abdominal Pain and sign’s like abdominal tenderness, hepatomegaly. Even with modern medicines like metronidazole which may fail to reach large intestine in therapeutic concentration the treatment may remain incomplete. So this study is aimed to know the clinical presentation and homoeopathic management of Amoebic dysentery. The solution may be judicious employment of Homoeopathic medicines with improved sanitation and hygienic measures.

  2. To study the Homoeopathic management of Amoebic Dysentery
  3. To study the group of Drugs indicated

METHODOLOGY:

A Prospective case study was carried out in the A.M SHAIKH HOMEOPATHIC Hospital based on stool examination; total 30 subjects were Participated in the study.

RESULTS AND DISSCUSSION:

The study showed maximum distribution cases of ameobic dysentery in males that is 17 cases (70%) where as in the females were 13 cases (30%).The study showed maximum distribution of cases of Amoebic dysentery in age group of 21-30 years .Lastly the observation of result is as follow: outcome of 30 cases, 10 cases are markedly improved , 15 improved and 5 are not improved.

CONCLUSION:

After understanding the clinical presentation of AMOEBIC DYSENTRY I have taken up 30 confirmed and clinically verified cases of amoebic dysentery for the present study. All the cases were studied in detail to draw the conclusion.

In the study conducted the highest incidence between the age group 21-30.out of 30 patients 13 patients were female and 17 patients were male. This shows the highest incidence was found in males according to the distribution of our study sample.
