Lok Sabha statement on Practice of Allopathy by Homoeopathy Doctors

Practice of Allopathy by Homoeopathy Doctors has been opposed by Professional Homoeopathic Organizations, Statutory regulator – the Central Council of Homoeopathy as well as various allopathic doctors associations.

The opposition is on the ground of inadequate training and absence of enabling Legal provision. In absence of any formal communication from the State Government, no view can be taken at this stage at the Central Government level on this topic.

As of now, no legal provision has been conveyed to the Central Government by any State for allowing Homoeopathy practitioners to prescribe allopathic medicines.

This was stated by Shri Ghulam Nabi Azad, Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare in a written reply to the Lok Sabha  on 07.02.14

  1. It is an insult of Homeopaths stating “unqualified” infect they have better knowledge then MBBS in terms of mankind especially. Medical field is not a mug up of list of drugs or their salts, infect the “Organon of Medicine” which is not taught to allopaths. Amendments are to be welcome.

  2. Come & see how good services are provided by bhms.drs.in rural areas by giving allopathic medicine if they are prohibited from that all medical system get collapsed. Because where iam practicing that village population ius more than 10000 & not single mbbs doctor 20km arond it

  3. Maharastra State Govt has started a 1 yr course for Homeopath Doctors in Pharmacology, so that they can prescribe Allopathy medicine in District /Rural Hospital. Why no others State Govts follow the same things ?
It will benefits for urban/rural people, where MBBS Doctors are reluctant to take the posting in those areas.

  4. WHY CENTRAL GOVT. IS NOT SAYING WHEN AYUSH DOCTORS ARE HARASSED BY STATE GOVT. & ALSO NOT GIVING ANY EMPHASIS TO CENTRAL GOVT. ORDERS
WHY CCH IS NOT PRESSURING GOVT. TO OPEN HOMEOPATHIC HOSPITALS.?
WHY CCH IS SITTING QUITELY WHEN AYUSH DOCTORS ARE UTILISED BY STATE GOVT.& AYUSH FUND IS MISUTILISED?
