Ministry of Ayush Govt. of India as per Letter dated 25.01.2017, categorically stated that from 2017-2018 admission onwards, there will not be any NRI or Management seats for Ayurveda, Homoeopathy, Unani admissions across India.
Exams conducted by Private associations are not valid. States can take students only through the common National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) common to ally systems of medicine.
All the seats must be filled by considering the merit list of NEET
Sources also reveal that the Ministry is trying to have the AYUSH colleges counseling together, but efforts are underway on agreement at state level.
