Report on First National Conference on Pediatric Education “Challenges and Solutions in Pediatric Education”
Introduction
The ‘First National Conference on Pediatric Education’ was held in Mangalore on August 31st and September 1st 2013. It was attended by leading educationists, senior faculty and other stake holders in the field of pediatric education. For continuity, the proceedings of the conference were documented as e-booklet. The presentations by the speakers and the summary of the discussions that followed have been presented in this booklet. We hope the proceedings would facilitate reforms in both undergraduate and postgraduate pediatric education.

This booklet on the conference proceedings has been compiled by the Archives Committee headed by Dr. Ravikiran Saralaya, Scientific Committee headed by Dr. Kamalakshi Bhat and Dr. Sucheta Rao. All the three are teaching faculty in the Department of Pediatrics, Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore, Manipal University.
