World Homoeopathic Congress Concludes – Next at Japan

67th World Homeopathic Congress  to be held in Nara(Japan) from September 14-17 Next Year 

New Delhi, Dec 4: The 67th edition of the annual World Homoeopathic Congress (WHC) of the Liga Medicorum Homoeopathica Internationalis (LMHI) would be held in the picturesque temple and commercial city ofNara, once the first Capital of Japan, next year.

“The 4-day 67th Congress would be held in Nara-Japan from September 14, 2012, ” the LIGA president Dr.Jose Matuk Kanan (Mexico) announced this here today while declaring the successful conclusion of its 66th edition in this capital city of India.

More than 2500 delegates including 200 from 35 countries had participated in the 4-day mega event that discussed various aspects of “Homoeopathy for Public Health: Need of the Hour” to devise strategies for achieving this objective world over through multi-lateral collaborations and cooperation among homoeopaths, particularly in the field of clinical research and drug standard protocols..

As many as 65-hour oral and 100 poster presentations covering various aspects of  homoeopathy including handling of HIV/AIDs, Viral fevers and several other challenging disorders in the modern era from hospitals to grass roots level of primary health centre across the world.

The event had also served as a platform for different national homoeopathic associations in Indiato come together with an idea to forge a confederation to achieve the objective of the system to benefit the sick in the society.

The foreign delegates unanimously hailed India for its stupendous achievement in Homoeopathy backed by the government support including efforts at reaching the remotest areas of Tripura through Tele-homoeopathic project, establishing drug protocols and manufacturing standards besides opening a chain of hospitals and clinics at the primary level though more needs to be done.

They had specially appreciated the role of the department of AYUSH and the Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy for setting standards in various aspects. They had also commended various insightful presentations made in the scientific sessions.

The WHC was unanimous in that the homoeopaths should equip themselves with the armory and ammunition of convincing scientific explanations to face the oft-repeated criticism of the system from the so-called modern medicine, and stand scrutiny and win over the public.
