Irresponsible CCH
Homoeopaths and Homoeopathy Medical colleges across Kerala observe black day against the irresponsible attitude of Central Council of Homoeopathy and Higher Officials of Homoeopathy in Kerala on 25.07.2014

Recently CCH issued a letter to All Homoeopathy Medical Colleges across country – not to admit until further orders from CCH.

CCH is responsible for delay in Homoeopathy admission 2014. CCH had conducted the inspection of Homoeopathy Medical Colleges in 2014 February. But submitted the report to AYUSH department only on 26th June 2014, that also only after request from AYUSH department.

AYUSH department forwarded the same to Ministry of Health and Family Welfare for further action.

Unnecessary delay on the part of CCH hampered the admission in Homoeopathy colleges across the country – since Centralised allotment for all medical courses was over in many states including Kerala.

Many students joined in other courses due to delay and uncertainty in Homeopathy UG admission 2014.

Member of Parliament from Kerala Sri. Premachandran raised the issue in Parliament yesterday.

PG admission
Homoeopathy Medical Colleges of  Kerala had not admitted post graduate students due to deficiency of teaching staff.

This year also no PG entrance test up to this time

Shortage of teaching staff
As per the CCH MSR regulations, 34 teaching posts are vacant in Homoeopathy Medical Colleges of Kerala.

As per GO 1767/2014 dt 30/5/14, Govt. of Kerala authorised Principal and Controlling Officer to fill 31 vacancies in Govt. Homoeopathy Medical Colleges of Kerala on contract basis.

Now the date is 24/07/2014 – Current PCO Dr. CT Anila Kumari created unwanted hurdles in appointment, even though Govt. of Kerala issued order for appointment.

Last week Minister for Health, issued a letter to PCO, seeking clarification regarding the unnecessary delay in appointment.

Promotion to teaching faculty
Moreover Govt. of Kerala convened  DPC meeting on May 2014 , but the PCO not yet submitted the proposal to the Government for further action and reluctant on teachers coming under UGC scheme.

If teachers are not promoted, feeder category will not be vacant. So that vacancies cannot be filled as per above Govt. order.

Homeopathy Pharmacy Course
Currently 168 Homoeopathy pharmacist posts are vacant in department of Homoeopathy. So Govt. of Kerala decided to start a 1 year Certificate Course in Homoeopathy. But not yet materialised. Management of a self-financing sector, who have conducting NCP course filed a case in Kerala High Court.

For protesting against all these atrocities various organisations like AKHMA (All Kerala Homoeopathic Medicos Association)- the coordination committee of students, IHMA (Indian Homoeopathy Medical Association) and others arranged various agitations and protest march.

  1. A mere G.O. is not sufficient for appointments even in daily wages/ contract basis if against the rules in existing special rules. That is the reason for cancelling the said G.O.1767/2014. Existing special rules permits BHMS graduates to be appointed as TUTOR in the entry cadre. The special rules has to be amended to change the entry cadre as LECTURER with QUALIFICATION as M.D.(Hom) or there should be an EXECUTIVE ORDER permitting to do so.

  2. It is very pathetic, to see this type of response from cch.our heart’s is really broken.Sir,is there any possibilitny of wbuhs md entrance exam on 2014.
